Delft Blue - Cleverly Reinvented Ceramics

Moooi borrows its name from the Dutch word for beautiful—”mooi”—and throws in an extra “o” for oomph. Swedish design group Front created the Blow Away Vase for Moooi in 2009. Using CAD and animation software, they distorted a classic Delftware vessel and made a mold of its unconventional shape—which looks as if it’s been blown askew by a gust of wind.
The piece is part of the permanent collection at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
