Is there an any way to make image file (tif or jpeg) permanent part of a dwg file?
Client request to have only one file per each drawing and images could not be bind as xref dwg files...

На вскидку открыл какую-то фотку во вьюере (ACDSee), тупо скопировал ее на клипборд (Cntr-C) и запейстил в Автокаде. Сохранил как .dwg - вроде работает...

Ну да, оно ссылку запоминает.
Картинка там уже есть - старый сканированный чертеж, поверх которого новый дизайн.
Они хотят одним файлом.

Try "insert" file. In paper space in separate tab.

OK, I tried it.
Open paper space, @ the bottom oyu have tabs/layouts: right-click "new layout".
Insert=>Raster image file=>select your .tif or .img; the dialog will ask you for scales=> select=> OK.

Works.

it's attached it as link, not as part of the same file...
if you move img file, or dwg file connection will be lost.
it's work automatically when you save both files to the same folder.

or i did not get you directions right...

I am not sure what you mean.
I just did the sequence again, a picture (img file) is inserted into a new tab.
then I "xr" the xref: it shows the open dwg and "loaded" picture with path on my computer.
Are oyu saying if I sent this file to you as attachment you wouldn't be able to see the new tab with picture?

Они не хотят два файла, в этом-то вся проблема :)
А картинки работают так же точно как xref, я этим пользуюсь все время. Раньше был отдельный img manager, a сейчас они совместили.

скажи им, что в один файл ты можешь сделать только как merging two pdf files, если сначала конвертируешь оба в отдельные pdf.
есть ещё вариант с import, как делают с 3D файлами или с конвертами из microstation; попробуй через промежуточный conversion

отправила два, им скорее всего, для штатовского фтп, а там проходят дополнительные img, пусть разбираются как.
