Пытаюсь найти информацию о том, что же решил наш яснополянский горсовет на последнем заседании во вторник и пока не получается.
Мы ушли домой в  начале одиннадцатого вечера и еще только шли выступления заинтересованных горожан-соседей.
Но накопалось куча всяких интересных ссылок по вопросу и о Fair Lawn'e вообще:

When I talk with other Russian people about how the Board of Trustees controls power, they understand it immediately. Some Americans are naïve about it. We are more sensitive to it, because we saw how a small group of people took power in Russia.

There are many people from the former Soviet Union who live in Radburn. They are intelligent people with a good education. What happened here, we saw in Russia, only here it’s worse. We know that some changes need to be made.

It is not right that the Board of Trustees chooses its own candidates for the Board. When we vote, there is no way for us to choose who we want. This is not democracy.

Everybody who lives here loves Radburn. When my children and grandchildren come visit me here, they think Radburn is like a country club.

If we sell Daly Field, we will have overcrowded parks and pools. Radburn is a great area with great people. I want to make it even better.

I never realized that we had no say in the government of Radburn, until after we found out about the sale of Daly Field. We called around and found out many people were equally incensed. Something is very wrong when an important decision like selling Daly Field wasn’t discussed with the residents, but was done secretly. »

5. What do you think are the 7 Wonders of Fair Lawn? (7 sentences)
The 400 year old fishing weir in the Passaic River tops my list for the first wonder. The second is the Nabisco Cookie Factory, where 50 foot long Fig Newtons are cut into cookies with high pressure water hoses. Next comes Memorial Pool, where watching it get filled from a slow-dripped pipe makes me continue to wonder how they know it takes exactly eight days to fill, but remains so clean and clear after its refurbishment that you can see the bottom 10 feet deep. Fourth is Land & Sea and the Brunch Club (tied) for the quantity of good food that they can consistently turn out to feed Kathy and me, and it seems the rest of Fair Lawn. Fifth is the interchange of Route 208 and Fair Lawn Avenue, which I have used going North on 208, and South on 208, all as part of the same convoluted route to take my kids to Fair Lawn High School through the years. Sixth is the Davidson Pavilion of the Department of Public Works, a building requested for a generation and finally built on my watch – a giant DPW garage facility that is a credit to all of Fair Lawn. Finally, back at Memorial Pool, the "portable" structures that make up the new air conditioned lunch room, the new changing facilities with showers, and home for the lifeguards and camp workers – thanks to an idea that I saw in Conoga Park, California, when I took my son to meet his great grandfather 20 years ago; we saved taxpayers $2-million by doing that, and have a wonderful amenity to boot.

Решали как бы отобрать у застраойщика хотя бы Дайли Филд, на большее у города кишка тонка.
Я писала уже.
Просто мы еще и живем прямо напротив этого поля - угол Плазы Рд. и Рамзи Террас.

Да я то и живу там две недели и только выучил свою Морлот авеню :) и то пропускаю поворот к дому )
